Our Beliefs

The Westminster Confession (1646)

We affirm that The Westminster Confession (1646) is essential to Christianity. It relates to the God and of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Scripture, Christ the Mediator, God's Covenant with Man, Creation, God's Providence, and other doctrines. The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic(universal) church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

The 5 "Solas" of Protestant Reformation

  • Sola Scriptura

Bible is the sole written divine revelation and alone can bind the conscience of believers absolutely.

  • Sola Fide

Justification is by faith alone. The merit of Christ imputed to us by faith is the sole ground of our acceptance by God, by which our sins are remitted.

  • Solus Christus

Christ is the only mediator through whose work we are redeemed.

  • Sola Gratia

Our salvation rests solely on the work of God's grace for us and in us.

  • Soli Deo Gloria

To God alone belongs the glory.
