For the funeral service of well-known singer and entertainer, Les Andrews QSM 20 Oct 1917 - 28 Feb 2014

Les Andrews together with his wife Sonia have been much loved members of St Andrews for many years and Les will be deeply missed. As well as their own contribution as singers, they both made a huge contribution to promoting the arts and supporting artists, singers, and musicians in this country, not to mention their contributions to the early development of television and broadcasting.

Fond tributes were given at the funeral by Les' children and also by well known members of the New Zealand Broadcasting and Entertainment scene, including Ric Carlyon, Max Cryer, Merv Smith, and Everard Otto, WW2 Veteran of the Italian Campaign, and Gary Russell representing the RSA.

May Les rest in peace!

And may God be with you all.

Rev Dr Murray Gow
